Wake the Witch

A group of friends are out in the woods helping with a class photo project when they stumble up on a chain buried in the ground. Curious as they are they follow the chain to see if the tree still exists where the witch was hung as legend says for her crime of killing children.

After an uneventful day the kids return home to see the strange events starting to unfold.

This movie has about all you could want in a horror movie. Young attractive girls, Creepy people who stay at the edge of vision that could attack you or just merely disappear. An infection that has that is close to the flu, and a town that wants to keep their dark secret.

Acting in the film was above average for most of the b-rated movies I see. The film starts out at a slow pace and have the music effects gradually increase to provide the tension.

There were parts in the film where the light was so low it was hard to see anything at all or know what was happening.

Unfortunately for me this happened at the very end of the movie and left me wondering what exactly really did happen.

Acting 4/5
plot 3-4/5
music 2-3/5 (had a hallow feel to it but kept repeating the same sound as terror arose.)
Location 4/5

Give this movie a go the next time you want an original horror film of suspense.
